What do you want from Dish?

After a spirited conversation with my dear friend at Dream, Imagine, Happen last night, I awoke renewed and invigorated and full of ideas (as is often the case after our chats; that lady is an inspiration!).

First up, I'm going to try to spend at least a morning or two -- in the wee small hours of the morning, that is -- writing or brainstorming in this space. With a clear head, unpoisoned yet by the day.

Secondly, I'm dusting off my magazine editor's duds and getting to work on planning. I spent this a.m. jotting down a series of ideas to cover here over the course of 2010.

I want your feedback as well. What are you most likely to read or seek (here on Dish or any food/travel type site)? Recipes? Tips? Memories? Travel stories? All or none or something else?

Leave a comment and let me know!

  1. WooHoo! I'm excited for you! And curious how the wee hours of the morning are going--I love them. Along with dark coffee, they can get pretty addictive. I had such a great visit with you, I can't wait to do it again.

You know, I'm a sucker for personal journeys and revelations. I loved reading about your journey into the world of poultry. I was intrigued by your (April Fool) post about gardening and sustainable living. I love reading posts that reveal the side of a person you wish you could always get in an everyday conversation, but don't--the vulnerable stuff, the excited stuff, the quirky, oddball stuff. I love your recipes, I just happen to be a sucker for personal narrative and the intersection b/w food and nutrition. I'm loving the weekly posts! You've hit a schedule!

  2. @ Dream - Thanks, lady! Your conversation and encouragement always mean the world to me. Thought of you when I was trying to get up at dark-o-clock this a.m. to write; it didn't really happen, but at least it was a start. Ha!
